Now that Thanksgiving is here Christmas is just around the corner and its time to be thinking about gifts. I’ve compiled here a list of ethical and sustainably minded brands that I love along with some of my favorite products from each of them.
Refugee Project: I’ve posted about this awesome brand before in my Redeeming Consumerism series. They empower refugee women in the Houston, TX area by teaching them a skill that they then use to create beautiful accessories and home supplies to sell and support themselves. Some of my favorite things are these boot cuffs, this cup cozy which would make a great stocking stuffer and these gorgeous crochet chandelier earrings. This kitchen set would be a great hostess gift with a candle or nice smelling soap and this baby set would be perfect for a new or expecting mom.
United by Blue: For every item sold United by Blue removes one pound of trash from waterways. Their products are all made from organic or recycled fibers and are ethically made in the USA. This sweater is so cute and so is this beanie and this one; this clutch would make an adorable makeup bag or something to carry the essentials in for the day; these journals are perfect for an aspiring writer this mug has one of my favorite quotes and is just suited for someone who loves the outdoors and a good cup of coffee; socks for Christmas wouldn’t be so bad with this and this pair.
MadeOn: MadeOn is so named because each of their products has the date on which it was made written on the packaging. Renee Harris and her family make *hard lotions, *lip balms, and *hair butters. I use the *simply shea facial emollient every night after I cleanse my face, *tinted lip balms add a nice sheer color and the *pumpkin spice and *chocolate mint lip balms have a really nice scent. MadeOn also has some awesome Black Friday deals. They are offering a free *peppermint lip balm with any order, a free *dry skin fix 3 pack with any order over $50 and a free *lavender roll-on with orders over $100. You can get all three deals with a purchase over $100 and you don’t need a coupon code, just add your products to the cart, including the free product and when you’ve met the requirement it will be free!
Krochet Kids: Every Krochet Kids product is hand signed by the woman who made it. Their products are made either in Uganda or Peru. This hat from Krochet Kids would be a great gift for a younger sister, it has a cute little bow-like detail on the front and an older sister would love this gorgeous clutch from Krochet Kids. This headband from Krochet Kids looks so cute and cozy and this scarf comes in such beautiful colors!
I hope you enjoyed this gift guide and that it at least gave you some inspiration for your Christmas shopping. Stay tuned for a DIY gift guide coming soon!
