Hello everyone!
Valentine’s day is tomorrow but I celebrated today with some of my girlfriends. I thought I’d share how I got ready with all of you in case you are looking for some inspiration for tomorrow.
Let’s start with makeup.
I used the Maybelline Baby Skin primer in my T-zone and the e.l.f. green primer on my cheeks and wherever I struggle with redness.
I used the e.l.f. Ultimate Blending brush to apply the Maybelline Superstay Better Skin foundation and I set it with the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in translucent using the e.l.f small tapered brush and the Eco Tools powder brush.
I primed my eyes with a sample of the Urban Decay eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden.
I used the Eco Tools eye brush set to apply the marked shades of the e.l.f. Mad for Matte palette. I applied the far left shade marked “base” all over my eyes all the way up to my brow bone. I put the transition shade into my crease and blended it all the way from my inner corner to my outer corner. I used the crease shade in the outer corner of my eye and about half way across in my crease. I pressed the pink lid shade all over the inner half of my eyelid and used it as an inner corner highlight. I highlighted my brow bone with the base shade. I don’t have a picture but after I applied my eyeshadow I concealed under my eyes with the L.A. Girl HD concealer in natural.
I brushed through my brows with the Maybelline Best Lash Mascara. I lined my eyes very close to the lash line with the e.l.f. cream eyeliner in black using a small angled brush. I curled my lashes and applied three coats of the Maybelline Define-A-Lash mascara in “blackest black.”
With a stipple brush I very lightly contoured my cheekbones with the L’Oreal True Match powder in cocoa. I highlighted my cheekbones, forehead, nose, and cupids bow with the WetnWild Color Icon bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana using the Eco Tools fan brush.
I decided to leave my lips natural so I just applied some lip balm from Made On Hard Lotion.
For my hair I just used the Living Proof prime and style extender while it was wet and when it dried I just pulled half of it back into a loose half up style.
For my outift I wore a floral dress from H. and M. with a pink rose necklace also from H. and M. and some tan flats from Target. I was going for a soft, romantic look that wasn’t too girly or cliche.

This isn’t of my outift but I thought this shot that my sister took was really pretty.
Photo creds of my outfit go to my awesome sister Janet.
Have a great day!
~Maizy
